Bloodfeast Poster

Bloodfeast is an annual Halloween party in Boston, MA. I'm looking forward to my first Bloodfeast this year. I still have to come up with a good costume though. These zombies were inspired by retro styles. It's kind of funny that I went with zombies since I had a serious phobia to them. I had nightmares for over a year after watching Dawn of the Dead. I couldn't even watch Shawn of the Dead since it reminded me of my irrational fear. I'm pleased with how this one turned out.

Alliance Fanart

For the Alliance! I started playing World of Warcraft (WoW) shortly after the release of the Lich King expansion. My main toon was the druid, Pagong. I was a hardcore PVP healer. I've since stopped playing but still go back to visit from time to time.

Eren Yeagar Fanart

I thought I'd give the anime style of drawing a try. This is Eren from Attack on Titan. It's one of my favorite anime to air recently. I haven't really gotten into this style since my high school years so I need some practice.

Game Map

Purple and Red need a world of their own. Here's a map their hometown. I call it Half Town, named after the town I was raised in. For the first six years of my life, I lived in Tunga, Leyte PH with my Lola Lilia. Tunga translates into “half.”

Videoasana Illustration

I created this for a yoga event. From my understanding it involved a club, music videos, and yoga. I'm not sure if the event ever happened. I still like how this came out though, so I thought I'd share it.

3D WASD Walk Cycle with the Purple Guy

Look at the purple guy in action! He's on a mission to get from point A, to point B. These are renderings of different parts of his walk cycle. It rotates through the walk cycle to make him appear as if he's walking. It's like 2D posing as 3D.

Bones for the Purple Guy

I feel you in my bones. You're knocking at my window. You're slow to letting me go. I know this feeling oh so, this feeling in my bones. The purple guy has bones! This setup has the option to use some inverse kinematics on the arms and legs.

Detailed Clothes for the Purple Guy

Here's a little more detail on the clothing. I used 3 additional objects for the strings and did some vertex painting on the shirt.

Purple Guy Clothes

He's got clothes! The only additional object here is his top. His pants are technically part of his body. It's just painted on. Can you tell that he's got a bit of influence from Auron?

Purple Mesh Hair

For his hair, I went with the leaf with alpha channel method. Each section is a like a leaf on a tree with a transparent image attached to it.

Purple Guy Eyes Mesh

Jeepers, creepers, where'd you get those peepers? I created it of course! I'm liking this purple look.

World of Warcraft (WoW) Self Portrait

This one goes out to all the squirrels I've /loved before. This resto druid is Pagong of Champion's Legion. She's not currently active, but when she's actually hanging out in Azeroth she can be found hoarding achievement points or capping flags.

Superman Fanart Painting

I've been wary about posting fanart into my blog. It's such a touchy subject for artists. However, as a self proclaimed otaku and mega gamer, how could I not create and be proud of them? Here's a painting I did of Superman.

Subdivided Purple Mesh

Here's some progression on the purple guy's mesh form. He now has digits, ears, a nose, the mouth, and eye sockets.

Beginning Purple Mesh

Guess who this guy is destined to be? Hint, it's got purple hair. Here's the beginning of a cartoony body mesh. It's got a head, body, and limbs. It's simple and low poly.

Chibi Style Purple Guy

This is the purple guy, revamped. I used a more simple style to make it easier to animate.

Riley's Tail

Riley had the cutest bum. He had a little piggy tail that coiled around. I miss him every day.

Red Illustration

The purple guy needed a friend so I created this red lady. Neither of them has an actual name. It'd be cool if they could end up in some post apocalyptic steampunk game or animation. However, writing actual stories isn't my forte. I'm working on it though.

Illustrated Guy Walk Cycle

Here's another study on walk cycles. This one works out a lot better than the purple guy's walk cycle.

Purple Illustration Walk Cycle

This is a walk cycle that I created for GameSalad. It's made up of separate .PNGs that animates of this purple guy walking.

Riley Illustration

The long dog was Riley's favorite toy. He used to suckle it like a baby's bottle. I love this illustration so much, we had it printed on a few mugs.

3D Female Mesh

This is the beginning of a female body mesh. It's low poly, so it's perfect for video games. Someday I'll help create a video game. I have to brush up on my 3d skills.

Butterfly Illustration

This butterfly was created in Photoshop.

Riley 3D Mesh

We're back to 3d content once again. This one is of Riley. It's the beginning of a mesh created in Blender. He's doing one of his bored faces. Sometimes he looks like an ogre when he's bored.

Riley the Boston Terrier

Riley was our Boston terrier. He was such a good boy and he got along with everyone he met. He loved going on long hikes through the woods and his long dog toy. He had the most expressive face I've ever seen in a dog. We miss him every day.

Hand Snap

This one is pretty straightforward. It's a vector graphic of a hand, in the process of doing a snap. I forget why I created this to begin with.

Logo for Physical Therapist

A logo idea for a physical therapy group.

Lola Lilia Photo Restoration

Here's an example of my photo restoration skills. This portrait is of my Lola (grandmother or generational sign of respect) Lilia. She raised me from when I was 1-7 years old in the Philippines. She was a tough love kind of lady. I used to constantly “run away” across the street, to her sister's house. Still, I was definitely a Lola's girl and I miss her dearly.

E is for Earth Illustration

“E” is for Earth. This was originally supposed to be part of a word/logo. However, it was starting to get too complicated for that purpose. I liked how it came it out anyways so I kept it.

Collegiate Cravings Logo

This was one of my first attempts at graphic design after a long break from creativity after college. It's not one my best works, but taking that first step was the first hurdle that I really needed to get over.

Dimples Self Portrait

This is the last self portrait for a while. I promise. In this drawing, I'm showing off my dimples. They tend to show up better when I make a funny face.

Bored Self Portrait

Here's another self portrait drawn with a pencil. This shows my resting face. I wore a hoodie to frame my face.

Pearly White Self Portrait

This self portrait was done in pencil with a little bit of conte to finish it off. In this drawing, I'm showing off my pearly whites. It doesn't seem to really convince anyone though.

Side Glance Self Portrait

This is a portrait of a girl. It's me! I was working at Lindt Chocolate Factory at the time. There was a massive mirror behind me so it was perfect for drawing whenever the store was empty.
