"Butterscotch" Handmade Coin Purse

I learned how to sew through YouTube tutorials. I'm talking the whole sew-bang, which included using an actual a needle, thread, and thimble. I learned the true purpose of a thimble! If you're not sure either, it's definitely not a medieval cosplay helmet for finger puppets. Then, I learned how to assemble a coin purse with said new skill. The name was an addition at end. The portrait ended up not centered. Sewing technique tutorial by Nutty Crafter . Zippered coin purse tutorial by RsIslandCrafts - Robin .

Pudgy Luna and Artemis

Back in my college days, we did an ideation exercise. We had to draw a logo in as many different ways as possible, in the shortest amount of time. The logo that I assigned for myself was a cat. My favorite version that I ended up with was a pudgy cat. I decided to try recreating that cat. It eventually morphed into these, Luna and Artemis fanart. Sailor Moon, along with Dragon Ball Z, were my favorite Saturday morning cartoons. They kicked off my love of anime.

Butterscotch

This is a drawing request of my friends dog, Butterscotch. She also goes by "Scotch." I like to draw in pencil before breaking out any vector drawing apps, Adobe Draw in this case. It gives it more of a hand-drawn feel. I drew it while riding the T (subway), which made it all the more perfectly imperfect. Here's the pencil version:

James Vector

Remember the James Wants Something drawing? I made it into a vector file and added some color. Now it's been printed onto two travel thermos. EDIT Now also available as an enamel pin. I've been giving them away to friends and family since the holidays. Since the only option is to buy a whole bunch, I now have a whole bunch that I can maybe try to sell. I have no idea how to go about starting to sell these, but I at least have the inventory. Email me or follow me on Instagram at @i_be_piranha .

Kuya Erik Portrait

I drew this portrait of my kuya Erik while on my daily commute on the T. He's the oldest among us siblings.

Work Swag Design for Pride 2019

This is a design idea I had for some Pride work swag. My company manages a lot of data and we really like our matrices. Also, the colors are true to our brand.

Kuya Derick

This is a drawing of one of my kuyas (brother). Drawing eyes with glasses is hard.

James in the Sunbeams

Getting some quality sketching time on my commute. Being at the end of the line pretty much guarantees an available seat. Maybe I'll create an entire commute series #commutesketch. PS The T is shaky.

Tropical Plant

I drew a plant. Hurray! It's our third indoor house plant. You can't eat it, but it provides oxygen and several environment points.

Assembling the Dry Bones Pepakura

My Dry Bones mask is complete. It's a little lot bigger than I had anticipated. Or perhaps it's not quite big enough. Oh well. Another lesson learned… measure my head and make sure my eyes are aligned with the eye holes. This is probably as far as I'll take this project. I could also try to salvage it and insert some padding so that it sits more like a helmet or crown. I may try to finish my Varia suit instead. In other news, I finally figured out how to make my own GIFs without Photoshop. Hurray!

Hand Sketch

Trying to kickstart my motivation to be artsy again. Here's a quick sketch of my hand in a fist.

Hand Painted Christmas Ornaments

I made my own Christmas ornaments! I had some leftover planks of wood from when I made my scooter ramp for the shed. I used acrylic to decorate, and then some eye hook screws and twine to hang. Easy peasy. The one on the left is a painting of our dog, James. He's a mutt. We think he might be a chihuahua-pitbull mix (chipit). He's a PITA and we love him to pieces. The one on the right is our late dog, Riley. He was a Boston Terrier with an all white face. He was the goodest of boys.
